Join Us

We welcome motivated researchers and students interested in understanding how mechanical forces regulate cell fate, tissue morphogenesis, and disease.

Our research combines developmental biology, mechanobiology, advanced microscopy, human respiratory organoids, and computational approaches. Based at the Max Planck Center for Physics and Medicine (MPZPM) and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen–Nürnberg (FAU), our group provides an interdisciplinary environment at the interface of physics, biology, and medicine.

How to Apply

If you are interested in joining our team, please send the following to jakub.sedzinski@mpzpm.mpg.de:

  • A short description of your research interests and motivation
  • Your CV
  • Relevant research experience and technical expertise
  • Your preferred position and anticipated starting date

Postdoctoral and PhD applicants are encouraged to include contact details for potential academic references.

Please note: Expressions of interest are welcome throughout the year. The availability of funded positions depends on current projects and funding opportunities.
