My research investigates how extracellular matrix components regulate tissue mechanics and cell fate acquisition during epithelial development.
Using the Xenopus laevis mucociliary epithelium, I focus on the role of hyaluronic acid in coordinating tissue morphogenesis, cellular behavior, and differentiation. By studying how changes in extracellular matrix organization influence tissue mechanics, I aim to understand how mechanical signals contribute to epithelial development and organization.
Beyond Research: Outside the lab, I enjoy ice skating.
